FACELIFT OR RHYTIDECTOMY
The facial muscles become loose due to the ageing process. A surgical facelift tightens tissues and removes wrinkles. A facelift literally ‘lifts’ the facial tissues and folds caused by saggy skin to make it tighter and smoother, giving the face a more youthful look. Facelift surgery can be done to all face or be segmentally applied to the brow and eyelid region, the jawline, chin and neck regions.
It is a good option to consider if you wish to achieve a more youthful, wrinkle-free, and fresher face, rather than an aged tired-looking look.
This is a less invasive version of a facelift with less downtime and faster recovery. It benefits when the slackening changes have only modest, in relatively younger patients in their 40s to 50s who desire to address early soft tissue sagging of lower face and jowls.
Volumetric facelift with fat injections help if the ageing causes loss of facial fat. The face becomes bony thin and hollow looking with associated ageing changes in both their neck and face. By surgically improving facial volume with fat injections, a more youthful and healthy appearance is aimed.
